About GEC

The Giving Economy Movement

Have you ever thought about why some industrialists become richer after they start philanthropy? Google is the best example. Google gifted us the world’s best search algorithm in the form of a blank page and a single search bar in 1997. Facebook and Linkedin don't charge you for building connections. Altruism is an all-together act of benefiting yourself by benefiting others.

Why do we need one more framework? What is the Giving Economy? GEC is a movement to promote a long-term approach of addressing global challenges and universal goals resulting in greater mobilization of the global community, strengthening collaboration and networking of investors across the sectors, countries and regions. The Giving Economy Movement is the most needed phenomenon to keep advancing the research on global philanthropy economy and to make socio-economic roots more stronger.

The word ‘Money’ is derived from the word ‘Currency’ which is a latin term meaning ‘ to run or flow’. Money itself asks to keep the circulation going, otherwise, it begins to clog and stagnate. If we will hold onto our money and hoard it, we will stop its circulation back into our lives.
